Sam Fenton is an artist based in London who specialises in Indian Miniature Painting.
He is a graduate of the MA programme at The Princes School of Traditional Art, and has spent time working in India in the studio of Dr Desmond Lazaro, a contemporary painter who specialises in Indian Miniature painting and the Pichvai Tradition of Rajasthan. Sam also studied with Manish Soni, a master Miniature painter based in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. There he learnt the process of creating traditional paintings including preparing colours from local natural materials, as well as brush techniques and line work. This year, Sam has spent time travelling to and researching the Mogao caves of Dunhuang, China.
