In 1999, Rupert Sanderson resigned from a 12-year career in advertising to sign up for a course at the renowned Cordwainers College in East London. Following his studies, he immersed himself in the world of shoe making, moving to Italy and honing his craft working with designers Bruno Magli and Sergio Rossi before launching his own label back in London.

Celebrated for exquisite craftsmanship and timeless design, Rupert Sanderson’s shoes have been worn by some of the world’s most inspiring women, and accolades include the British Fashion Council’s ‘Accessory Designer of the Year’. Now in the brand’s 20th year, they are hosting an open studio as part of London Craft Week, complete with a livestream to their Italian factory.
