Privacy Policy

London Craft Week Limited (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a city-wide festival celebrating exceptional craftsmanship from around the world. In the same way we value the integrity of human making, we respect and protect the privacy of our global community. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard personal data across our digital platforms, ticketing operations, and event footprints under the UK GDPR and the Data (Use and Access) Act. 1.

Our Core Privacy Philosophy We do not sell data. We will never trade, sell, or rent your personal information to any third-party marketing networks or sponsors. Data Minimisation. We only collect the specific details required to deliver our curated festival programming, process your tickets, or send you requested editorial updates. Absolute Transparency. We are entirely clear about who has access to your information and why.

2. How We Handle Data by Stakeholder Group

A: For Festival Visitors & Digital Subscribers What we collect: Your name, email address, and transactional history when you subscribe to our newsletters or purchase tickets through our website. Why we collect it: To fulfil your ticket orders, provide critical event updates, and share curated craft insights. Our infrastructure: We utilise industry-standard, highly secure third-party processors (such as Mailchimp for newsletters and verified secure ticketing engines) to manage these flows safely. For our full commercial terms regarding ticket purchases, cancellations, and refunds, please see our Ticketing Terms & Conditions below.

B: For Our Network and VIPs What we collect: Names, professional affiliations, design/collecting preferences, and specific requirements (such as dietary or accessibility needs) for private events. Why we collect it: To curate bespoke, high-tier experiences and extend exclusive, private invitations to unique activations (e.g., our celebrity-led VIP events or private embassy showcases).

C. For Makers, Partners & Sponsors What we collect: Commercial contact details, portfolios, artist profiles, and organisational metadata. Why we collect it: To build and promote the official London Craft Week programme, fulfil sponsorship deliverables, and manage business-to-business contractual agreements.

3. “Names-Only” Partner Policy To facilitate smooth front-of-house operations, data is shared under strict, limited protocols with our partners: Shared VIP & Partner Events: When you register for an event co-hosted with a partner brand or held at an external partner venue, we only share your name for guest list creation and front-of-house check-in. Ticketing via Our Website: When you buy tickets hosted directly on the London Craft Week platform for a partner’s workshop or exhibition, only your name is passed to that partner to verify your entry at the door. The Contact Lock: We strictly never share your email address, telephone number, or physical address with our partners, venues, or sponsors unless you explicitly opt-in to hear from them directly during the registration process.

4. Your Rights & Internal Complaints Path Under UK law, you hold comprehensive rights regarding your data, including the right to access, correct, or permanently erase the personal information we hold on you. In accordance with the Data (Use and Access) Act, if you have any questions or wish to raise a data protection concern, you must utilise our internal pathway first to allow us to resolve the matter directly: Dedicated Contact: Please email info@londoncraftweek.com with the subject line “Data Privacy”. Our Commitment: We operate a formal Data Protection Complaints Procedure and will investigate and respond to your enquiry without undue delay. Regulatory Escalation If you remain unsatisfied with our final response, or if your concern is not handled within a reasonable timeframe, you have the right to lodge a formal complaint with the UK supervisory authority: Body: Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) Website: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint

5. Data Retention We only retain personal data for as long as is strictly necessary to fulfil the operational purposes detailed above, satisfy our statutory financial auditing obligations, or preserve institutional festival history. All expired or obsolete records are permanently and securely deleted from our live cloud infrastructures and backups.
