About
In this live performance, accompanied by a minimalist soundtrack, Sue Paraskeva uses her finely thrown and turned porcelain vessels, altering them dramatically and intuitively.
Some vessels are struck with a piece of wood to create cracks and alterations, while others are smashed down or thrown into the air to produce a unique work. Together, attendees bear witness to the transformation.
To accompany the performance, Sue discusses her practice in a conversation with Studio Pottery’s artistic director, Gregory Tingay.
Sue has been performing live since 2010 at venues including Saatchi Gallery, CAA Gallery and The Depozitory on the Isle of Wight.
