About

The Taiwan Pavilion at London Craft Week 2023 will showcase the weaving techniques of Taiwan’s diverse ethnic groups. Guests are invited to discover the amazing craftsmanship of the region, while experiencing live demonstrations of the pieces being made.

Discover specialist materials, unique to the region, such as Shell Ginger, which is a plant native to Asia. With a slightly fiery aroma – not overly stimulating, but refreshing – it can be used not only as an ornamental plant, but also as a cooking or medicinal material. Most special though is its use for weaving.

Those who are interested are welcome to experience together at Cromwell Place as part of the Taiwan Pavilion ‘Genius Weavers’ showcase.

Please note that there are a limited number of free places available for the workshops. Book now to secure your place.
