About

Ella Krispel is a London-based visual artist and designer whose work challenges common assumptions and biased language in discussions about immigration.
Her recent works take the form of woven paper tapestries, exploring the media’s influence on public perceptions of immigration in the UK. She has recently exhibited new pieces commissioned by The Migration Museum London and sold works to local galleries.

Ella has presented her work and perspectives at events such as the Immigration Attitudes conference at the University of Oxford, where she delivered her talk ‘Design as Intervention’. She also gave lectures for Graphic Communication Design MA students at Central Saint Martins and mentors emerging creatives through the charity Arts Emergency.
