About
Alison Wing Yin Poon is a multimedia artist using found objects, ceramics, faux-bois and japanning in sculptural amalgamations that explore her mixed heritage. Alison was born in Manchester to English and Malaysian Chinese parents. Alison holds an MA in Anthropology and Cultural Politics (Goldsmith’s 2019) and MA in Fine Art (City and Guilds of London Art School, 2024). Following her MA she was awarded the 2024-5 Decorative Surfaces fellowship at City and Guilds of London Art School, supported by the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers. She recently had her debut solo exhibition with Tache Gallery, was awarded the 2026 Gilbert Bays Award from the Royal Society of Sculptors and exhibited with them for the 2026 London Art Fair.
