About

Join us for an immersive introduction to the ancient Hindu art of Rangoli as we launch Singapore’s showcase at London Craft Week. Rangoli, derived from the Sanskrit word “rangavalli” meaning rows of colours, is a traditional decorative art form that adorns doorsteps and courtyards during festivals and celebrations. These intricate patterns, created with coloured powders, rice, flower petals, and other natural materials, are believed to bring good fortune and welcome prosperity into homes.

This hands-on experience offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with Hindu cultural heritage whilst exploring the meditative and communal aspects of traditional craft making.
