Liu is a jewellery designer and gemologist whose practice is rooted in a fascination with natural mineral inclusions. Her work explores innovative stone-setting techniques that challenge and blur the boundaries between metal and gemstone, allowing each material to interact in unexpected ways. By highlighting the intrinsic qualities of the stones she selects, Liu creates pieces that emphasise the relationship between material, structure and form.
