About
Jane Moore is an established and respected figure in British jewellery, known for her distinctive and instantly recognisable work. With its whimsical charm and attention to detail, her jewellery is an authentic expression of a warm, outgoing personality. She is prolific in developing her unique aesthetic, creating designs that are sensitive, considered and beautifully made.
Drawing inspiration from the simple silhouettes of traditional Japanese artefacts and textiles embellished with delicate floral motifs, as well as memories of her mother’s intricate embroidery, Jane begins each piece as a drawing in her sketchbook, where ideas can evolve freely. Only once she arrives at a pleasing image does she begin to consider its technical possibilities. Working primarily with enamel, she blends traditional techniques with contemporary processes such as photo-etching, laser cutting and fine enamel transfers.
Exhibiting at FORGE as part of The Secret Garden Showcase, 1 May – 1 June.
