Mareike Lienau designs knotted objects and unique carpets for her label Lyk Carpet, which are hand-knotted in Nepal. She questions the superficial function of the carpet and establishes new ways of seeing and using it. With her authentic objects, she shows the handicraft and the material wool in a new, unseen and positively extravagant way.
