About
Kate Braine is a London-based artist working with pottery, sculpture, and design. After studying sculpture at City & Guilds School of Art, she built a career creating bronze portrait busts and body casts. Later ceramics courses at Park Walk and Marlborough schools sparked a lasting passion for clay, and after two decades of practice, she is now a full-time potter.
Her pottery has been exhibited at:

- House of Pots
- Blue Marine foundation
- Soshiro
- The Violet Hour gallery
Kate has sculpted notable figures including Sir David Tang, Ian Board, and Francis Bacon. She created a full-scale body cast of David Bowie, exhibited in a solo show at The Gallery in Cork Street.
She is also producing bowls and plates from Stoke-on-Trent , using the moulds from 18 century wooden butter presses.
