About

Porcelain artist based in Turin, Italy.

Graduating in Architecture from the Politecnico di Torino, she founded her studio in 2015 focused on
contemporary porcelain, which operates in two directions: the more rational one related to design and
functional porcelain, and the one dedicated to artistic research.

Whether designing functional porcelains under the name of biancodichina or sculptural, intuitive pieces
under Alice Reina name, both identities share the same inspirations and are guided by values of originality,
sensitivity, and a deep connection with the material.

Alice is particularly drawn to the concept of fragility. Through each creation, she invites to experience this
fragility -sometimes through performative interactions – as a delicate tension between desire and
apprehension. Her works evoke the paradoxical sensation of holding something almost immaterial, in
equilibrium between the beauty of translucent surfaces and the tension that accompanies the thought of its
breaking, inviting reflection on our relationship with the impermanence of all things.
