About
Cleo Mussi creates works with materials that would inevitably end up in landfill and thus bringing a new lease of life to discarded, historical tableware. In her studio she carefully arranges salvaged, precision hand cut shards into larger than life size gestural figurative ceramic mosaic. A visual storyteller, exhibiting regularly Cleo explores our floral landscape, with its migratory species carried for their culinary uses and herbal remedies as well as botanical colloquial folklores. Recently she has collaborated with florists and flower farmers, creating captivating, decorative, political and humorous multilayered installations. In 2021 she was an Award Artist represented at The British Ceramics Biennial in Stoke and also published ‘Mussi Mosaic Manufactory’ . Cleo has works in private collections world wide and large installations across the UK including public spaces, Arts centres, NHS hospitals, The BBC Asian Network in Leicestershire and John Lewis Partnership in Solihull.
