Joao Maraschin is a community-led brand focused on social design, collaborating with artisans around the world and carefully managing its environmental impact. In this exhibition, the designer presents ‘Collection 03 Imagined Communities’, giving visitors the opportunity to get closer to the process, artisans and wider supply chain behind the products.

The use of alternative routes for creative development such as upcycling, recycling and repurposing are at the core of the business. This special exhibition features a few pieces of the collection launched at London Fashion Week and shown in Paris days before, displayed alongside patterns, prototypes and swatches to give visitors an overview of the making process. The garments on show also make use of the recently introduced technology of blockchain, another effort towards the brand’s commitment to full transparency. Visitors can scan the garments and be taken on a full journey behind the scenes.
