Contemporary Ceramics and Craft Auction
BOOKING INFORMATION
Maak presents two curated auctions of contemporary ceramics and craft, bringing together a considered selection of works by leading makers in ceramics, wood, glass, textile and jewellery, celebrating materiality and craftsmanship. Join Maak at their Covent Garden gallery to view the auction exhibitions and programme of gallery talks.
About
Marking 15 years of auctions dedicated to studio ceramics and contemporary crafts, Maak presents a curated sale of works by leading artists and makers across ceramics, wood, glass, fibre and silver. Rooted in material, process and the hand of the maker, the selection reflects the depth and diversity of contemporary ceramics and craft.
With works consigned from private collections internationally, highlights include considered groups by Lucie Rie, Hans Coper, John Ward, Elizabeth Fritsch and Edmund de Waal, alongside exceptional individual works by Alev Ebuzziya Siesbye, Hitomi Hosono, Peter Collingwood and Hiroshi Suzuki.
Join us in the gallery on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May from 11am-4pm, with viewing continuing through London Craft Week at the times listed above. The auction takes place on Thursday 14 May, with online bidding concluding from 12pm.
