About

Founded in 2016, Craft Continuum brings together a group of contemporary makers whose practices explore the evolving relationship between traditional craft processes and contemporary expression.

Presented at the iconic OXO Gallery, their exhibition CONTINUUM@OXO2026 considers craft not as a fixed discipline rooted solely in heritage, but as a living, responsive continuum – shaped by material knowledge, personal narratives and present-day concerns.

Across the exhibition, artists engage deeply with process, materiality and making, drawing on established techniques while pushing their boundaries through experimentation and innovation. The works presented reflect a shared commitment to skill, patience and tactility, while also addressing broader themes such as place, memory, sustainability and the human connection to objects.

Rather than positioning tradition and innovation as opposites, the work in this exhibition highlights the ways in which they coexist. Each artist and maker contributes a distinct voice, yet collectively the group demonstrates how contemporary craft can honour its past while remaining open to new ideas, technologies and interpretations.

It invites viewers to slow down and look closely – to appreciate the intelligence of the hand, language of materials and the ongoing dialogue between craft, art and lived experience.
