Design today is shaped by the ongoing conversation between craftsmanship, materials and creative collaboration.
On Tuesday 13th May, join us at Robert Langford London’s showroom on Kings Road for a special talk as part of London Craft Week. The event presents an opportunity to bring together two different expressions of craft in one shared design conversation. Aisha Subhani, founder of Aisha Subhani Design and working across luxury residential interiors in London and Dubai, joins Robert Langford, founder of British furniture brand Robert Langford, recognised for its craftsmanship and modern design principles. Together, they will explore how craftsmanship informs contemporary interiors, fosters collaboration between designers and makers, and brings cultural and material significance to design projects.
The conversation will be hosted by Grant Pierrus, founder of Pierrus Agency, a marketing agency supporting the growth and visibility of interior design businesses and design suppliers.
Throughout the week, visitors to the showroom will also be able to view two bespoke works created by Pakistani artisans. The featured artists include Fazal Ahmed, whose sculptures, ceramics, and jewellery blend African and Aboriginal influences with bold colour palettes, and Amna Fraz, an artist specialising in traditional egg tempera painting, using natural pigments sourced locally in Pakistan. Together, these works, alongside the conversation, present a story of craftsmanship — of material, maker, and meaning — brought to life through design.
