About

Since 1848, Lao Feng Xiang has been a guardian of China’s top gold craftsmanship traditions, while also inheriting a rich array of intangible cultural heritage skills, including gold and silver filigree, enamel ware craftsmanship, Shanghai-style embroidery, Shanghai-style paper cutting, Shanghai silk embroidery, seal paste making, and seal carving art.

This year, Lao Feng Xiang together with Creative Twin Cities are privileged to host distinguished British leading experts in goldsmithing and jewellery craftsmanship for a meaningful cultural exchange. The event will feature engaging presentations by experts from both nations on preserving traditional crafts in modern practice, complemented by live performances by inheritors of China’s intangible cultural heritage skills.

Experience the art of goldsmithing as rhythmic hammers shape gold, the graceful snip of paper-cutting transforming blank sheets into intricate works of art, and immerse yourself in the living legacy of China’s craft traditions.

Key Highlights:
-Keynote talks by master artisans from China and UK
-Demonstrations of Living Heritage Techniques from China
-Master Artisans’ Open Exchange
