HOLLY HUNT and Sirimiri invite you to explore hand-weaving and embroidery techniques with textile artist Alice Timmis. This demonstration showcases sustainability, artistry, and methods which unite both brands’ dedication to materiality and making. Experience Alice embellish an iconic CONRAD weave and Sirimiri ReWool blankets, revealing intricate craftsmanship behind each piece.

About

HOLLY HUNT, in collaboration with Sirimiri, presents a curated programme celebrating craftsmanship, sustainability, and thoughtful design. Hosted in the HOLLY HUNT Mayfair showroom, the series brings together heritage techniques and contemporary luxury through live making, conversation, and hands-on participation. At the heart of the programme is a live hand-embroidery demonstration by textile artist Alice Timmis, an established Sirimiri collaborator. Within the showroom, Timmis will embellish a carefully curated Sirimiri ReWool blanket, finished with HOLLY HUNT trimmings, creating a considered expression of both brands’ commitment to material integrity and refined design. The finished blanket will be showcased on a HOLLY HUNT bed, highlighting the relationship between textile, process, and interior design. In a parallel installation, Timmis will apply hand weaving techniques to an iconic CONRAD handwoven blind. This intervention creates a dialogue between surface and structure, exploring how textile artistry can reframe architectural elements. Rooted in CONRAD’s legacy of sustainable production and artisanal excellence, the piece will offer a contemporary interpretation of luxury—where innovation is guided by tradition, and design is shaped by skilled hands.

The collaboration extends beyond demonstration. A hands-on workshop for a small group of designers will offer the opportunity to embroider either a recycled wool scarf or a CONRAD weave, guided by Alice Timmis. For those seeking a more informal experience, a drop-in session will invite visitors not only to observe hand weaving and embroidery in action, but also to try their hand at selected techniques, gaining a tactile understanding of the processes behind the work, and engaging in conversation with Timmis and the Sirimiri and HOLLY HUNT teams. Together, these events foreground the enduring value of craft and the creative potential of responsible making, demonstrating how traditional techniques continue to inform and shape contemporary design.

Kindly note the HOLLY HUNT London showroom will be open to walk-in visitors Monday–Friday, 10:00am–6:00pm throughout London Craft Week. We invite you to explore the world of HOLLY HUNT and our commitment to impeccable craftsmanship.
