About
Türkiye’s rich tradition of book arts takes centre stage at London Craft Week, celebrating centuries-old techniques that have adorned manuscripts and books with exquisite detail. Explore the artistry of miniature bookbinding, Tezhip (art of illumination), Ebru (paper marbling), Hüsn-i Hat (calligraphy), miniature painting, book embellishment and parchment making through hands-on workshops, engaging talks and live demonstrations.
Discover the beauty of embossed leather bindings, gilded decorations and mesmerising marbled patterns that define this heritage. To inspire young creatives, Yunus Emre Institute is also hosting special workshops designed for children, ensuring that Türkiye’s book arts continue to flourish for generations to come.
