TOAST collaborates with ceramicist Rebecca Proctor to present her latest collection of pottery at their Marylebone store. See a range of Rebecca’s new works, which are arranged to form a window installation and a ceramics display. The pieces have been created in her small workshop near Bude on the Cornwall and Devon border, expressing her deep connection to the surrounding landscape.

Prior to making pottery, Rebecca was a design writer and consultant, and has written five books on design and craft. Her preoccupation with materials and craftsmanship led to her making pots herself.

She makes use of the rich natural resources close to where she lives. Her clay is sourced from a small family-owned Cornish quarry, and she gathers glaze materials locally. Each hand-thrown piece is designed for daily use, resulting in simple forms with a sense of natural variation and character.
