About

From Monday 12 to Saturday 31 May, the Cris Contini Contemporary Gallery in London is hosting ‘Storytelling’, an exhibition of mosaic works by Emanuele Sari.
A Venetian artist, Emanuele blends tradition and modernity, transforming the ancient art of mosaics into a contemporary language. His technique is based on the use of fine materials from historic Venetian kilns. Over time, he has refined his method by shaping the tiles himself, giving his works greater expressiveness.
As part of the exhibition, Emanuele is leading an experiential Venetian mosaic worksop for adults and children aged 10 and over, offering participants the opportunity to explore the mosaic technique. During the workshop, each participant creates a 10×10 cm mosaic, experimenting with high-quality materials. The artist guides them through each stage of the process, sharing his innovative approach, shaped by years of study and prestigious collaborations. The workshop is designed for both beginners and art enthusiasts eager to discover this ancient technique reinterpreted in a modern way. At the end of the session, each participant takes home their own mosaic, a tangible memory of this creative experience.
The ‘Storytelling’ exhibition celebrates the intersection of past and present, tradition and innovation, making mosaics a relevant and expressive medium today. The event offers a unique opportunity to discover the beauty of Venetian mosaics and be inspired by the magic of glass and light.
