During the tour, Simon explains the celebrated craftsmanship behind Japan’s temples and shrines, focusing on how Japanese master carpenters have developed tools and techniques informed by the extraordinary qualities of wood.

The talk begins in front of the Gallery on Japan House London’s lower ground floor promptly at 6.30pm and lasts approximately 40 minutes.
