BOOKING INFORMATION
Booking not necessaryThe Foundry Collective Market explores craft at the intersection of art, technology and underground music culture. Zines, comics, records, streetwear and digital-inspired making, alongside projection mapping, DJs and immersive lighting. A relaxed, experimental counterpoint to central London’s design districts — rooted in North Acton’s evolving and slightly anarchic creative community.
About
The Foundry Collective Market is where craft meets circuitry, where underground music culture influences how we light, code, print and make a new world around us.
Set in the square outside The Foundry Collective – with the bar, gallery, coffee shop and kitchen open throughout – this two-day market explores the more experimental edge of London Craft Week. Here in North Acton and Park Royal the boundaries between art, design, science and technology are increasingly blurred. This market celebrates the intersection where all of these collide.
Under a cluster of outdoor gazebos, you’ll find independent makers of zines, comics, artist prints, records, recycled electronics, streetwear, caps, T-shirts and small-batch merchandise rooted in urban culture. Contemporary craft reframed through sound systems, circuitry, projection and print. It’s hands-on, self-published, DIY in spirit – but thoughtful in execution.
In the weeks leading up to the event, The Foundry will host a projection and lighting hackathon exploring projection mapping, audio-visual effects and digital craft. The results will drift into the weekend: ambient projections, moving image loops, experimental lighting and a relaxed DJ soundtrack running throughout the day. The gallery becomes an immersive backdrop – part exhibition, part social space.
This is a counterpoint to the polished design districts of central London — slightly anarchic, open-ended and welcoming. A place to browse slowly, talk to makers, discover niche work and hang out away from the crowd.
Inside, Beirut street food will be served from the kitchen, alongside speciality coffee and locally brewed drinks from the bar. Outside, the market ticks, inside the atmosphere softens.
The Foundry Collective invites you to experience a different kind of craft market: one shaped by code, community, print culture and underground music and above all by a neighbourhood where creative boundaries are constantly being redrawn.
