This London Craft Week, Them Outdoors are teaming up with the Garden Museum to explore the role of sculpture in gardens and outdoor spaces.

Them Outdoors is a new home for design-led, original garden furniture, sculpture and planters, made by British artists.

The Garden Museum exhibition will take viewers on a journey across different practices and materials, from metalwork to lost-wax casting, sculpture to ceramics, and beyond. The exhibition will feature work by Them Outdoors artists Fred Clark, Julia Clarke, Alice-Andrea Ewing, Jaclyn Pappalardo, Charlie and Katy Napier and Matthew Kendall.

The exhibition will be set within and around the iconic courtyard at the Garden Museum, designed by Dan Pearson OBE. The works will form a dialogue with the narrative-driven planting design, showing how art and sculpture can play a storied and thought provoking role within the design of outdoor spaces.

Them Outdoors was set up in 2025, with the ambition of casting garden sculpture, furniture and craft in a new light. To introduce anyone with an interest in the design of outdoor spaces; garden owners, curators, collectors, interior designers, garden designers and so forth – to new materials, processes and makers, whose work can spark conversations, quietly challenge preconceptions, or simply bring more beauty to a garden of any style or size.
