Making art and culture more accessible to the local community has always been an important focus for Battersea Power Station and this vibrant, new neighbourhood is delighted to be collaborating with film director and multimedia visual artist Charlotte Colbert for London Craft Week 2025, as part of the public realm programme ā€˜Modern Mastersā€™.

Established in partnership with public art and cultural placemaking agency, New Public, ā€˜Modern Mastersā€™ is a free outdoor series of contemporary art. Now in its second year, the series shines a spotlight on the craftsmanship, innovation and expertise behind the artwork of leading and established artists. From Wednesday 23 April until Sunday 1 June, two of Charlotteā€™s monumental installations are on display in the Power Stationā€™s historic turbine halls ā€” ā€˜Dreamland Sirensā€™ and ā€˜Where Angels Liveā€™. Charlotteā€™s work often questions identity, dreams and the unconscious. The surreal and fantastical become a way to look at our world afresh and find the space to question and reimagine. In this way, ‘Dreamland Sirens’ and ‘Where Angels Live’ perfectly complement ā€˜Radiant Reflectionsā€™, Battersea Power Stationā€™s Spring/Summer 2025 fashion campaign, which focuses on promoting body positivity and encourages visitors to look within and celebrate their reflections.

The series is one of many cultural activations that Battersea Power Station is hosting this year in celebration of Wandsworth being named the London Borough of Culture 2025.
