During London Craft Week 2025, Homo Faber celebrates the UK capital’s dynamic craft community by highlighting the myriad London-based artisans profiled on Homo Faber Guide. This free online tool allows users to explore travel destinations in a new way: find artisanal addresses and create bespoke city itineraries, connect directly with craftspeople to buy or commission work, and participate in craft-based experiences. The platform profiles thousands of talented international artisans, including more than 200 in London, making it the most represented city on Homo Faber Guide.

To offer a flavour of this diverse artisanal community, on 13 May Homo Faber presents two live craft demonstrations at the V&A Museum. Master puppetry artist Oliver Hymans and emerging talent Ash Appadu reveal the skills and techniques behind marionette making, while master bookbinder Manuel Mazzotti and craft graduate Chihiro Shigemitsu demonstrate their passion for contemporary bookbinding. Each pair of artisans has worked together for six months as part of Homo Faber’s professional integration programme, Homo Faber Fellowship.
