About

Fragments always fascinated me. My archaeological research is surreal, contemporary and imaginative. I work with memory, mine and the past. The resulting ceramics are wonderfully expressive, and seem to offer meditations on age, rupture, and dishevelment. My re-imagination of greek vases, initially, was fairly rigorous in colours. Lately I have moved towards a more playful palette. New objects are now animated by new shades of pastel colours leading towards abstraction.

I am a Milanese / Londoner. I studied Scenografia at Brera, Accademia di Belle arti, Milano. Worked as a set designer for some 17 years. I then completed an MA in History of collecting art at Warwick University and a Phd in Museology at the University of Leeds. Meanwhile I practiced ceramics. In  the last 10 years I dedicated myself full time to it. I now work in Hackney.
