About

Asplin Whiteley creates the finest handmade furniture for some of the world’s most elegant homes, yachts, and hotels. Each piece produced reflects our unwavering commitment to quality, combining expert craftsmanship with timeless design to deliver exceptional beauty and function.
Founded in 1988 by Mark Asplin Whiteley in Cirencester, the company was built on Mark’s early work with renowned furniture designer David Linley. Throughout the 1980s, Mark became the key maker for Linley, solidifying his reputation as a master craftsman. This partnership laid the foundation for Asplin Whiteley’s rise as one of the most respected names in fine furniture.
In 1997, Mark moved the workshop to Whitby, North Yorkshire, where we continue to create exceptional pieces to this day. As part of Size Group, our dedicated team includes designers, CNC operators, craftsmen, and office staff, all united by a shared philosophy: it’s not just about what we create, but how we create it.
Our meticulous process begins with detailed technical drawings, allowing us to determine the most efficient and precise methods of crafting each component. While we embrace modern technology, every piece of furniture is crafted with a perfect balance of advanced machinery and traditional techniques. This harmonious blend of innovation and craftsmanship ensures that every item we produce is of the highest quality.
We believe in perfection—achieved through patience, skill, and a deep understanding of our craft. Whether we’re making a stately dining table or a luxurious superyacht lounger, our dedication is unwavering. When you choose Asplin Whiteley, you’re not just investing in fine furniture; you’re investing in a legacy of craftsmanship that will be enjoyed for generations.
