As a silversmith and jewellery maker Candy creates sculptural pieces that explore the expressive potential of form, movement and touch. Silver is her enduring passion, a medium that continually fascinates with its malleability, tactility, colour and limitless capacity for transformation.
Candy’s work invites physical interaction; touch often activates subtle movement or reveals an intimate texture, encouraging moments of contemplation and sensual engagement. She is drawn to the dialogue between the hand, the material and the body not just as an object, but as an experience.
Recently, her practice has been provoked by a deeply personal narrative: the gradual and inevitable deterioration of the female frame. Through these pieces, she explores themes of frangibility, resilience and transformation, tracing the complex relationship between beauty, form and time.
Candy is one of the Continuum makers exhibiting at Continuum@OXO2026 – OXO gallery 13 to 17 May.
