About

James Ducker and Deborah Carré both retrained as handsewn shoemakers over 30 years ago when they fell for the craft with a passion. Together they not only make beautiful bespoke shoes but are champions of the craft teaching complete beginners the 200+ steps that go into making a pair of shoes on their popular intensive courses and part time classes. Carréducker are based in London’s iconic Oxo Tower, just across the river from St Paul’s and Cordwainer Ward, the historic district where shoemaking (or cordwaining) has been practised for centuries.
