About
Christopher’s enthusiasm for historical objects is deep rooted. Relics of the past, shaped by hand which demonstrate both discipline and imaginative play, form the inspiration and basis of his artwork. Within his practice there is often an emphasis on the intimacy of materials and their interdependency. He searches for the finite points in which objects become devotional and archetypal. He perseveres in a multi layered medium in the hopes of capturing today’s collective spirit.
Since graduating from the Royal College of Art, Christopher has worked alongside numerous ceramicists and designers. He has been an assistant to Edmund de Waal since 2018. He works from his studio in Vanguard Court in Camberwell, Southeast London.
