About

Cindy Leveson possesses a unique ability to seemingly effortlessly create comfortable and holistic spaces with acute attention to detail. Established in 1990, Leveson Design has a signature and sought-after style which quietly makes people relax and enjoy where they are without necessarily knowing why. It’s all about atmosphere and feeling.

Soon finding herself propelled into decorating both beautiful private houses in London and the country, Cindy’s considered approach to curating also led her to creating commercial spaces such as The Kennels at Goodwood which was her first.

Cindy is a collection builder, whether it be for the Kennels, where there is possibly the largest collection of Penguin books in the country or Hound lodge which is all about hunting, dogs, West Sussex and the family.

To her, everywhere and everything she decorates should feel like home – what you have always dreamt of – whether it’s in the country or in London. As a result, she has become known not only for making her private clients feel instantly and effortlessly comfortable, but also for making the commercial side of life every bit as good.

The finest compliment she can receive when a project finishes, is when both her client and their friends say that it feels it has been that way forever. Nothing should be too precious or off limits and one and all should be able to throw themselves onto an inviting sofa and feel no guilt.

Her father once told her that every room should have a bit of black and a bit of tat. It’s one of the best bits of advice she has ever been given. There is nothing more uncomfortable than being over decorated.
