Cristina Vezzini is a ceramicist as well as one half of the design duo Vezzini & Chen. With a deep love for nature and a passion for scuba diving, Cristina draws inspiration from the organic forms and structures she encounters underwater. Her work focuses on intricate textures and repetition, often incorporating seeds as symbols of growth and memory. These themes are central to her creative practice, reflecting her fascination with the underlying patterns of nature.
Collaborating with Stan Chen, an accomplished glassblower, Cristina combines the tactile beauty of her hand-crafted ceramics with the fluid elegance of blown glass. The interplay between their two materials results in unique, sculptural pieces that balance detail and simplicity. Together, they create designs that are both functional and conceptual, with each piece reflecting their shared commitment to craftsmanship and attention to detail.
