About
David Ashton’s journey into jewellery making is marked by a unique background. In his formative years, he honed his skills as a scientific and medical instrument maker in Cambridge and later as an aircraft engineer. His notable achievement was fabricating part of the nose cone for Concord at Marshalls in Cambridge.
The majority of David’s work is bespoke. His shop & workshop found its new home at the iconic Oxo Tower Wharf on the South Bank in 2008. This move marked a significant chapter in his history, having previously been a stalwart of Gabriel’s Wharf since 1988 and a stallholder on Camden Market. For over three decades, David’s iconic ring stacks have graced numerous publications’ pages ( Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire, TATE, V&A), symbolising his unique style and craftsmanship. Their distinct design is instantly recognisable and has garnered a loyal following.
