About
Ditte Blohm is a Danish artist based in London. Her practice centres on hand built clay sculptures, alongside painting. Working directly with the softness and immediacy of clay, she creates expressive, tactile forms that capture emotion and personal experience.
Blohm approaches sculpture as an intuitive process, often beginning without a fixed plan. Each piece becomes a kind of visual diary entry, shaped by reflections on love, vulnerability, identity, and the complexities of womanhood, motherhood, and relationships. Through the physical act of making, she explores an ongoing dialogue between the conscious and subconscious.
Blohm studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma in Italy, Kolding School of Design in Denmark, and the Willem de Kooning Academy in the Netherlands. Her work invites viewers to slow down and connect with something honest, instinctive, and deeply human.
