About
Eddie Knevett creates bold, simple shaped vessels, the forms and mark-making visually inspired by the love of early art of many cultures, handcrafting and decoration. The applied pattern is influenced by WW1 Dazzleship warship camouflage, which teases and distorts the eye, the idea of being hidden in plain sight. Exploring the element of chance by using torn paper as resist to create spontaneous shapes on coloured matt finish clays against the pot’s white stoneware or black earthenware, with glossy glaze further adding texture.
