After studying at Wimbledon School of Art, Elena graduated with a degree in Printed/Embroidered Textiles from Birmingham and has been selling artwork since her degree show. This included screen-printed canvas washed with colour, layered with painterly embroidery and collaged drawings from her sketchbooks.
Elena has always handmade cards for loved ones and for more than 25 years, she has been making cards for beautiful shops or galleries. Her artwork is a blend of printmaking, drawing, and embroidery, with each card meticulously designed, illustrated, and printed by hand.
Elena’s designs for Fortnum & Mason are inspired by the architectural details of the store’s home and the experiences of a performance, often drawing from antique prints, vintage illustrations, and her own sketchbooks.
