About
Ellis is a fine jewellery designer, based at The Goldsmiths Centre, in London. She creates sculptural fine jewellery, inspired by her Scottish Heritage. Growing up in the Highlands of Scotland, Ellis fell in love with its history; the ancient buildings, the rugged seascape, and the many artefacts and jewellery hoards which have been found buried within the earth. On the farmland of her grandparents, Ellis has found segments of rings, vessels, knives and swords – ancient parts of history. These objects have informed her designs as a huge source of inspiration.
Ellis studied BA jewellery and silversmithing at The Glasgow School of Art, before undertaking a Masters in Jewellery at Central Saint Martins and then launching her brand. Ellis’ work has been exhibited at shows such as Goldsmiths Fair and NY NOW, featured in publications such as Forbes & Vogue, and her work is sold internationally through stores such as Esqueleto & Free People. At the foundation of her work is a belief in the beauty of imperfections, hand craftsmanship and a desire to provide clients with fine jewellery which can be handed down through the generations.
