About
Emanuele Sari graduated from scientific high school in 1995 and soon after began working with mosaics, developing his own style.
Since 2002, he has been the creator, owner, and founder of the Emanuele Sari Art Studio, where up to 20 collaborators work on his projects. His preferred medium is contemporary mosaic, using glass, marble, resin, and various materials.
For over 15 years, he has specialized in glass mosaics, employing the “direct” technique, where tiles are glued directly onto the support to enhance light reflection. He primarily works with Venetian glass, including Orsoni gold leaf enamels, Effetre murrine from Murano, and shading elements from Morassutti Mosaici in Spilimbergo. Over time, he began shaping his own tiles, bringing new vibrancy to his artworks. His mosaics include reinterpretations of paintings and portraits of comic book characters and celebrities, from Lupin to the Joker, Klimt to Modigliani, and Jimi Hendrix to Freddie Mercury.
From 1997 to 2001, he exhibited worldwide, including at Miami Art Fair, Stockholm Art Fair, ARCO Madrid, Vienna Art Fair, and Paris Art Fair. In 2004, he held a solo exhibition at Palazzo delle Prigioni in Venice. Since 2005, his works have been featured in top Venetian galleries (New Murano Gallery, Schiavon Art Team) and internationally.
His notable collaborations include Warner Bros, Mediaset, and Yahoo CEO Timothy Google. Collectors include Rod Stewart, Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan, and tennis champion Thomas Muster. His works are particularly sought after in Dubai, Russia, and the USA.
In 2016, he created mosaic works of “Lupin”, supervised by its creator “Monkey Punch”. In 2017, Venice acquired his “Corto Maltese” mosaic for display at Forte Marghera. Recently, he designed a mosaic for AC Milan honoring Silvio Berlusconi, soon to be displayed at the Mondo Milan Museum. He also created a Puma mosaic featuring its and AC Milan’s logos.
At the 2024 Nations Award in Taormina, he presented a mosaic portrait of Kevin Spacey. He was also honored at the Venice Film Festival, showcasing seven works at Hotel Ca’ Sagredo. A future collaboration with Warner Bros is under discussion.
