About

Emily Myers lives and works in North Hampshire. She has been making pots since she was introduced to clay at the age of 12. This led to a degree in Ceramics at Bristol Art School and a career in making, primarily centred around the wheel. Her pieces are often carved and fired with beautiful glazes as she works with porcelain and red stoneware clay.

In 1990 soon after leaving college, she was awarded a Crafts Council Setting Up Grant, which enabled her to establish her first workshop in London. In the same year, she also became a Fellow of the Craft Potter’s Association.

She has shown her work at well-renowned galleries in the UK, including Contemporary Ceramics in London, The Leach Pottery in St Ives, Cornwall, and Cambridge Contemporary Arts in Cambridge.
