Emma Lacey designs and makes tactile ceramic tableware from her studio in North London.
Most work is hand-thrown using a fine stoneware clay. Combining expertise in ceramics making skills with a sensibility for good design, Emma Lacey makes contemporary, functional ceramics which are joyful to use and will stand the test time. Emma’s hand-thrown tableware is durable, ergonomic and tactile. The subtle detailing – the throwing lines, the handle position, the manipulated form and the makers stamp can be explored through use. All made in Emma’s North London studio, Emma’s work celebrates the hands, clay, glaze and ceramic processes. Her designs invite curiosity and touch and the objects are intended to be used everyday.
