About

FIVE is a platform celebrating contemporary silver and metal, fostering new dialogues about material and craft. For London Craft Week, the FIVE collective will showcase a diverse selection of contemporary metalwork at Crane Court Gallery, featuring both precious and non-precious metals by artists Angela Cork, Jessica Jue, Ane Christensen, Hamish Dobbie, and Patrick Davison. This group is a unique mix of established makers, representing a cross-section of generations and backgrounds, all sharing an ethos of creativity rooted in precision and fine craftsmanship. Each artist applies contemporary ideas to traditional materials and techniques, challenging preconceptions about tradition, value, and the use of silver and fine metalwork.

The number ‘Five’ plays a key role in the collective’s broader strategy, providing international platforms for an evolving group of makers and sparking dynamic visual conversations about contemporary metal. The initiative seeks to create new opportunities for makers, encourage ambitious work, develop wider interest in the craft, and inspire the next generation
