About
Jacky creates sculptural metalwork that explores line, composition, and space, where structure, delicacy, and the play of shadow are key elements of her pieces. Her work reflects the precision and refinement developed during her studies at the Royal College of Art.
Jacky’s designs celebrate the beauty of the handmade. Spanning small, intricate objects to large-scale architectural installations, her work has been featured in exhibitions, commissions, museum collections as well as creating work for domestic settings. Jacky has work is in the permanent collections of a number of institutions around the UK, including Somerset Rural Life Museum, Leicester University Botanic Garden, Teignmouth and Shaldon Museum and the University of Exeter.
Each project is completely unique, working in a reactive way Jacky’s approach is process led. Responding to research, ideas are allowed to be fluid until all avenues have been explored with model-making and workshop development.
Jacky is based at Cockpit Bloomsbury after receiving a bursary from the Worshipful Company of Tin Plate alias Wireworkers. In 2024 Jacky was awarded a Scholarship from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust. She continues to develop her practice while teaching in universities, colleges, and community settings.
