About
Jacob Monk is a designer and textile artist who is influenced by the technique of Ikat, a process of creating pattern through binding and dyeing the warp yarns before weaving. Jacob studied at Central Saint Martins and now works from his studio at Cockpit Arts in south-east London. He produces rich and vibrant textiles using variations of the ancient Ikat technique to create hazy patterns.
