About

Jed Green creates unique wearable sculptures using everyday materials like glass, silver, gold, wood, pearls, and paper. She transforms borosilicate glass tubes into various shapes, adds colour by painting the interior and applying transfers, and incorporates wood for structure and support, creating innovative pieces. The Wear/Display series originated in 2020 during a period of personal change. It involves revisiting past work, memories, and ideas, infusing them inc new meaning. The artist designs reflect a personal narrative inspired by family, significant events, and surroundings, creating visual stories in each piece. Jed’s new work are objects to display as sculptures, use as containers and have elements that can be removed and worn, pieces that adapt and change. This series sees her continuing to evolve ideas around multi use pieces and unworn jewellery becoming treasured objects.
