His work is focused on how perception shapes our understanding of reality as he aims to explore the tension between what we see and what we assume to be real. By manipulating tonal variations, the gradual shifts in line thickness and spacing, and the interaction between light and shadow, he can create surfaces that challenge the viewer’s perception, seeking to obscure visual cues, encouraging a moment of uncertainty—where reality and illusion converge. Additionally, fluidity of perception is central to his practice as this can shift depending on the viewer’s position, the lighting conditions, and the surrounding environment.
