About
Jorge Suárez-Kilzi was born in Venezuela to a Spanish father and Syrian mother, and signs his pieces with his mother’s surname, Kilzi, as a tribute to her and to our roots. Before starting his design practice in 2022, he graduated in architecture from the Polytechnical School of Catalonia and Lausanne’s EPFL, and worked in Japan and Spain.
His designs are the testimony of a life marked by the movement of the continuous migration between cultures through Latin America, Southern Europe, Syria and the artistic discipline of Japan gained from his experience at SANAA and Junya Ishigami, where he was inspired by the delicate balance between fluidity and structure.
