About
Josef Koppmann, a graduate of the Arts and Crafts College in Vienna, established his own studio in London and opened the Oxo Tower Wharf Gallery in 2008 where all his work is produced and sold from. Known for his pristine and geometric designs, Josef primarily works with sterling silver and 24-carat gold overlay, which he skillfully fuses using time honoured techniques.
His sculptural pieces are hand-crafted compositions that seamlessly blend vibrant gemstones with the abstract textures of clear cut precious metals, resulting in timeless, minimalist jewellery. These pieces reflect his mastery of form and materials, offering a unique contrast between bold colour and refined craftsmanship. Josef’s collections are showcased at select galleries, including Galleri Hoff in Copenhagen, Kath Libbert in Saltaire, Contemporary Applied Arts in London, and John McVeigh Jewelry in Maine.
